Dr. Brandon Southall gave an invited “Visionary Research” presentation at the recent ONR Science and Technology Expo in Washington D.C. This expo highlights cutting edge research and innovative technology supported by ONR. Given their long-standing support of marine mammal research in a wide variety of areas, including sound and it’s potential effects. Dr. Southall’s lecture covered a variety of these issues but focused primarily on the technological and methodological innovations made in the SOCAL-BRS project.
